Church Chicks, don't spend your time trying to straighten out people who scoff at God and His wisdom. Until people want to take a step across the line and experience faith and God's love, they don't hear you. When we try to get people to change on our own, we will only stir up anger and ruin relationships. Look for those to mentor and invest your time in who are just and love wisdom and do not spend your time getting into strife with scoffers. Let God softly lead them to Himself, just as He led you to His love and relationship.
"Do not reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you; rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a just man, and he will increase in learning." Proverbs 9:8-9
Find someone to mentor you - a woman you look up to in the faith, and find someone you can mentor - a woman who needs someone to come alongside and encourage her. Reach a hand up and a hand down. Do you have a mentor? Are you mentoring someone who is a little behind you in the faith? Both relationships are important for our spiritual growth and the growth of others.
